Families Participate in First CPR/AED/Choking Resuscitation Training

This week, 25 parents and students participated in the first CPR/AED/Choking Resuscitation training session offered by certified CPR instructors from our district health staff.  

Participants were enthusiastic and appreciative for getting the opportunity to learn life these lifesaving skills. 

Nurse Lisa Sabatino and her team presented the concepts in easy to understand terms, and provided hands-on experience using CPR mannequins.  

The training is offered to students in Grade 4 and up with parent participation.  Two additional evening sessions are scheduled for this school year: Tuesday, October 22 and Thursday, March 13. The events are from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Renfro Elementary School.  

Register early.  Class size is limited, but additional sessions could be added.  

Both student and parent must sign-up in advance and pay $13.00 cash per participant.
