Kahok Families,
The warmer weather is a welcome change after months of cold temperatures and heavy snowfall. While we may still have a few chilly days ahead, spring and longer days are on the horizon!
Please Complete the 5Essentials Survey
As we look forward, please take a few moments to complete the 5Essentials Survey for each school you have a child attending. Your feedback is valuable and helps guide future improvements for our schools. The survey is also being taken by staff and students. Your participation is greatly appreciated. District Progress: What’s Going on Behind CHS?
Many families and community members have inquired about the earthwork construction underway behind Collinsville High School. In recent weeks, tree removal began, construction fencing was installed, and a temporary roadway is being created to provide access to Caseyville Road.
For the foreseeable future, the area will continue to be cleared, trees shredded, dirt removed and ground leveled. While this process will take time, it is an exciting step in expanding academic and extracurricular spaces for CHS in the future. We appreciate your patience and support as the district works to enhance opportunities for our students.
Please note: Safety is a top priority. NO ONE, except authorized personnel, is allowed within the fenced area.
Dine to Donate – Support CHS Students!
Next Thursday, March 6th, the CHS Student Advisory Committee/Interact Club is hosting a "Dine to Donate" fundraiser at Agavero Grill & Cantina in Collinsville from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The students are raising money for a meaningful project: acquiring a headstone for Everett Singleton, a member of the Kahok Hall of Fame, Class of 2024.
Mr. Singleton’s legacy has left a lasting impact, and you can learn more about his story by watching this video about him. Please join us in supporting our students’ efforts by dining at Agavero on March 6th.
In closing, thank you for your constant dedication to our students and don’t forget to wear your purple and show your Kahok Pride!
