Kahok Families: Prepare for Cold Temperatures & Possible Bus Delays Tomorrow, February 20, 2025

A purple announcement from Collinsville Community Unit School District #10, reminding students to prepare for cold weather and note bus information for their return to school on Thursday, February 20.Road conditions will allow us to return to school tomorrow.  In anticipation of extremely cold temperatures in the morning, we are asking families to take extra precautions when dressing their children for school.  


Please choose warm coats, gloves, hats, shoes and socks to protect your child from the weather.


In addition, First Student bus company has asked us to share the following information regarding student transportation:


Due to varied road conditions across the district 

  • All buses are expected to be running 5-7 minutes behind their usual schedule.

  • Buses serving the State Park and Fairmont City communities are expected to be 10-12 minutes behind.

Remember:  Buses will be traveling at reduced speed to transport students as safely as possible.  If you are driving near a school bus, please use extreme caution and watch for children going to and from bus stops.
