District Third Graders Enjoy Annual STEM Day at CHS

Posted Date: 9/20/24 (11:01 AM)

All of our third graders had fun learning science, technology. engineering and math during the district's annual 3rd Grade STEM Day at Collinsville High School on September 19.

Students rotated through stations of hands-on learning experiences that totally immersed them in concepts and literally got their hands dirty.

Whether it was learning about magnets, worm behavior, composting, virtual reality or dissecting owl pellets, the students were totally engaged and inquisitive.  If you have or know a third grader, ask them about it.

The event is planned and coordinated by the members of the district's Vertical Science Team.  Collinsville High School students volunteer to help at each of the stations and escort the classes through the event.
