K-8 Students Invited to Begin Creating Young Authors Book Entries

Winter break is a good time to starting planning and writing a Young Authors book!  

All students in kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to participate in this year's Young Authors program by writing an original story and submitting it to their teacher.  

Entries from throughout our district will be collected and read by a panel of our educators who will choose several to represent CUSD 10 at the annual Young Authors Conference hosted by the Regional Office of Education.  District winners will be recognized at our Young Authors Tea in March. 

The deadline for entries to be submitted to classroom teachers is Friday, January 31, 2025. 

Rules and the mandatory manuscript form are attached to this post.  PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION and follow the instructions for entries. Contact your child's teacher if you have questions.
