November 1, 2024

Kahok Families,

This week, I would like to update you on the 2024 School Report Card, the 2024 ILMEA District VI Honor Band Participants and key dates to note in November.  Most importantly, I want to express our appreciation for the collective efforts that help make our students succeed.

2024 School Report Cards

We are proud that each of our schools in Collinsville CUSD 10 has earned a "Commendable" designation on the 2024 Illinois School Report Card. This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, administration, families, and the entire community.  Please visit www.illinoisreportcard.com to review the District’s Annual Report Card.

Each year, our students continue to show growth, both academically and socially, preparing them for life beyond high school. While we celebrate these academic advancements, we also recognize that our students are more than test scores. Our educators focus not only on academic growth but also on developing essential social skills that help create well-rounded, successful members of our community.

As we take pride in our students' successes and the progress we've made as a district, we are also committed to continual improvement. There is still room for growth, particularly in student proficiency and academic achievement.  We will continue to work toward steady improvement in those key areas.

Additionally, attendance has become a critical focus in our district.  While we have a lot to celebrate, overall student attendance must improve.  School staff are encouraging families to ensure students are present and ready to learn every day.  We need your help to ensure if your child isn’t sick, they attend school regularly.  Attendance positively impacts academic and social skills!

2024 ILMEA District VI Honor Band Participants

Each year we are fortunate to witness the hard work and success of our bands at Dorris, CMS and CHS.  This year is no exception.  I want to recognize the Collinsville Middle School and Collinsville High School students selected to perform in the 2024 ILMEA Honor Band on Saturday, November 23rd at Belleville West High School.  Congratulations on this tremendous accomplishment!
